What visitors say

★★★★★

“This is our go-to place to stay when we visit Alicante. I think we have stayed here around 10 times. The staff are fantastic and it’s great having a reception, as they are very helpful if you need a taxi or anything during your stay. We had a problem with a car we had hired and Simona very kindly rang the car hire company for us. Jesús has been incredibly kind and helpful every time we have visited. The apartments are great with cooking facilities and there is a washing machine on the ground floor which is available to use. And the beds are super comfortable too. They are cleaned daily as well. It is in a very central location so easy to reach the beach and the main attractions.”

“Overall, the apartment was great. The location was excellent, the room was clean and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff were friendly and professional. Unfortunately, our entire experience was ruined by the manager on our last day. A man introduced himself as “Adrian”, claiming to be the owner of the property. We later discovered that his real name is Jesus, that he is actually the manager, not the owner, and that he had been using a colleague’s name. The most shocking and unacceptable part of our stay was when he entered our apartment without any notice, without knocking, and without our permission while one of my friends was still inside the room alone. He didn’t simply stand at the doorway—he walked into the apartment and demanded that she leave immediately because another guest had already checked out, telling her she had “10 minutes to leave” as it was past the checkout time. This was a serious invasion of privacy. Regardless of whether checkout time had passed, staff have no right to enter an occupied room without first knocking, announcing themselves, and obtaining permission or confirming that the room is vacant. My friend was alone at the time and felt extremely frightened, vulnerable, and unsafe. No guest should ever have to experience someone unexpectedly entering their accommodation like this. To make matters worse, he later claimed that my friend had opened the door for him, which is completely false. There was also an issue with our booking. Our Agoda reservation was cancelled without our knowledge, and we were asked to pay the property directly. We had no idea our booking had been cancelled and only realised this afterwards. This created unnecessary confusion and raised serious concerns about how reservations are handled. After the incident, we called the property and asked to speak with Jesus again. Instead, another staff member told us they had seen our Agoda complaint and offered us 15% off a future stay. This completely missed the point. Our complaint was never about receiving a discount—it was about a guest’s privacy and safety being violated. After experiencing an unauthorised entry into our apartment, why would we ever feel comfortable returning? A discount does not address the seriousness of what happened or restore our trust. Had we not been rushing to catch an international flight that day, we would have seriously considered pursuing legal action regarding the unauthorised entry into our accommodation. It’s incredibly disappointing because the apartment itself deserves a high rating. However, the manager’s behaviour was unprofessional, dishonest, and completely unacceptable. We sincerely hope the actual owners become aware of this incident and take it seriously by ensuring that no future guest experiences the same violation of privacy and sense of safety that we did.”

“Great location, super friendly and helpful staff. I stayed in a terrace apartment, terrace was large with tables and chairs. Shower was the best. All the necessities to cook at home. Some advice, don't book through a booking website, contact them directly and it will be less expensive and includes daily cleaning, which booking through a website does not. Lastly, the communication from booking to check out was very responsive. I would highly recommend Barbara 3.”

“This review is merely about the service of the staff of Appartments Barbara 3 and Palacio Suites. We stayed for 1 night in Palacio Suites and as our flight was late in the evening on the day of leaving Palacio, we needed a place to be able to refresh before heading to the airport. We got an appartment in Barbara 3 for a very reasonable price to refresh. The appartment in Barbara 3 was really nice but you cannot compare it with the museal appartment of Suite Alfonso XIII in Palacio. I have been in many hotels and restaurants, but I have never experience this excellent level of service by Adriàn, helping us out and even making sure our suitcases are in the appartment. He made our last day in Spain great!”
